As the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe, our team at Saba Productions recognized the need to uplift the spirits of our local community in Portland, Oregon. Witnessing the profound impact of the pandemic on our city, we embarked on a mission to create a video that would resonate with our fellow Portlanders.

Our initial concept was to capture the eerie emptiness of the streets during the early days of the pandemic. However, as we delved deeper into our creative process and brainstormed a script for the video, we had an epiphany. We realized that our community had stories to tell—stories of resilience, unity, and hope amidst adversity.

To make this vision a reality, we tapped into the power of social media. We scoured hashtags like #Portland and #PortlandCOVID to discover the stories, images, and videos that our fellow residents were sharing. It was heartwarming to see the community coming together virtually, sharing their experiences, and offering support during challenging times.

In the end, our efforts paid off as we obtained permission from over 100 individuals and businesses within our community to incorporate their content into our video. The result was a heartfelt and moving tribute to the strength and solidarity of Portland during the pandemic. Our main goal, to leave a lasting impact and inspire hope, was achieved, and the video garnered remarkable engagement and views on social media.

Through this project, we demonstrated the power of storytelling and community collaboration, proving that even in the face of adversity, our city could come together and shine a light on the indomitable spirit of Portland, Oregon.
